‘Hi – My name is Liam and I’m working here today for you as a Sound Therapist on behalf of VHI’
Words I never could have imagined uttering when I was starting my journey, first through music, and then into sound at the Celtic School of Sound Healing – but Words which I got to repeat over and over again during an amazing Corporate Wellness Day in PayPal headquarters in Dublin last Winter, where I hosted a day of Soundbaths for the staff. This was organised on behalf of VHI through a Corporate Wellness agency – Wellplace Ireland.
Words which have resonated deeply within our precious Sound Therapy community as we seek to bring mainstream and professional awareness of our
beautiful healing modality, with all its mental health benefits to both the medical world, and the corporate world, whom we are proud to see more and more often, prioritising the mental health and wellbeing of their staff.
Words which have brought both personal and professional pride, as, although I have hosted staff and corporate wellness sessions and workshops both before and since the PayPal/VHI Day, I had never done so on behalf of Ireland’s main Health Insurance provider. Their recognition of our profession has been a very powerful and an auspicious endorsement of the benefits of our work.
With the recent marking of National Workplace Wellbeing Day in April – it is more important than ever that we keep up the awareness and the encouraging of companies to embrace wellness in the workplace and the positive influence it can have on their employees…
